Marcus Levi "Marco" Simmer (born June 14, 1977) is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and manga artist. He is the frontman for the alternative metal band Osmosis. Simmer is, perhaps, recognized for his versatile range, being able to go from perishing, falsetto singing, to groove metal shouting, and to even deathgrind-inspired growls. Simmer is also known for his exaggerative stage personality (nicknamed "Simmer-Down" by a vocal minority), usually appearing in costumes and facepaint; with the notable exceptions being interviews and special appearances, in which he wears casual clothing and no face markings. Prior to becoming the leader of Osmosis, he was once the band's rhythm guitarist until their former singer, Ron Wilkes, left the building; Wilkes is currently the frontman for the post-metal supergroup, Khaos.

Since a young age, Marco has loved just about every metal subgenre. He also has had an interest in industrial hip-hop and chiptune music, which made him unveil a solo project in 2006 under the pseudonym, Devil Child; since 2012, he has put his side act on an indefinite hiatus.
